Measuring Your Calf For Riding Boots
Date: 28.05.2012
Horse riding boots are one of the most important pieces of equipment a rider wears. They need to be sturdy, well-constructed, and comfortable. A good pair of riding boots should last several years, and be resistant to all the elements-so it's important to look at a rangr of brands and measure carefully to ensure a good fit and satisfaction with the boot.
There are two types of riding boots, short and long its not to hard to find a short boot that fits as they usually follow your usual footsize however finding a long boot to fit can sometimes be tricky.
Another thing to be aware of is brand variation, one brands wide may be another’s standard fit (for example Tuffa have many standard boots that are the same width as a Just Togs wide boot) so it is important to read the size charts made available to you. Our size charts are next to the description (see below).

It is important you measure your calf length correctly as if your long boot is to wide or narrow it may hinder your riding and your safety whilst riding so we have made a simple video which should make it easier for you to get the correct measurements.

If you find you have a wider calf, a great boot for you may be the 'Tuffa New Norfolk Riding Boot'
However if you have a slimmer calf, a great boot for you may be the 'Just Togs Clarington Tall Field Boot'
